The intelligent instruent is the development direction of current instruments and apparatuses. This paper is about the understanding of natural language text clustering model and its application to the mechanical product design, focusing on logical relationship between sentences aggregation model.Finally it achieves a better communication between the system and users, and to support the future design through the understanding and analyzing of the user’s needs expressed in the form of natural language.First of all, the paper describes the existing knowledge representation method in detail, and introduces the concept of subordinate tree and event handling in natural language understanding. Secondly, through the analysis of a large number of language phenomena about logical relationship between sentences, logical relationship between sentences are divided into four classes, seventeen minimal classes and on which the logical relationship of subordinate tree is built based.On the basis of the logical relationship between sentences, this paper analyzes the structure of all the logic relation gathered at high level. And then it finds out the parent/child realationship of the nested logic relationship to form a tree structure and also finds out the important events and key relationships in the sentences. The search strategy of the logical relationship structure tree between sentences could be taken from bottom to top. For the nested logic relationship, the paper will replace the chief events relationship between subordinate relationship and joint relationshiop different respectively. Finally, this paper applied the logical relationship processing model of natural language understanding to intelligent instrument design.
