Due to its capabilities of working all-day, all-weather and acquiring information form long-range, inverse synthetic aperture radar(ISAR) is able to get the two-dimensional high resolution image of maritime targets, air targets, and space targets. At the same time, the complicated information of targets, including their size and shape and so on, can also be obtained from the high resolution ISAR image to make further classification and recognition for the targets. Therefore, the ISAR imaging technology plays an important role in both military and civil fields.With the wide application of ISAR imaging in various fields and the appearance of new ISAR systems, the jamming against ISAR has been paid more attention to at home and abroad. ISAR jamming technology develops fast from non-coherent interference to coherent interference, from fixed interference system to the programmable interference system, from simple false target characteristics to complex false target characteristics, from single jamming means to composite multi-styles jamming means. ISAR jamming will continue to play an important role in both modern information warfare and electronic warfare. Hence, the study of electronic countermeasures against ISAR imaging has become a research hotspot in the field of electronic countermeasures and signal processing.The main content of this paper contains two parts: the principle of ISAR imaging technology and the deception jamming technology basing on it; and a software about ISAR deception jamming and its evaluation based on imaging. This paper is organized as follows:(1) According to the status of ISAR at home and abroad, the history of ISAR imaging and jamming technology development and the basic principle of ISAR imaging and processing method are introduced. Firstly, the rotation model was discussed. Secondly, the methods of range alignment and phase correction were analyzed. Finally, the Range-Doppler algorithm was simulated to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm.(2) The basic principle of ISAR deception jamming was emphatically introduced, and a deception jamming based on the electromagnetic properties was proposed. First of all, a geometry model of deception jammign was built and the deception jamming principle of single scatterer was studied. Then, an algorithm for false target jamming using simple point models to generate the deception jamming signal was studied. Finally, the algorithm for deception jamming base on electromagnetic characteristics of targets was proposed. Based on the electromagnetic database of the target properties, the relative location of the false target to the real one and the attitude information were utilized to modulate the jamming signal. In this way, the false target more verisimilar was generated to realize a effective deception jamming. And simulation experiments showed the effectivity of the algorithm.(3) Based on the method proposed in this paper, we have designed a software about ISAR deception jamming processing utilizing the Qt platform. In this part, the advantage of Qt developing platform was introduced. Then, the construction of the software was analized to realize the modularization. The deception jamming block and the imaging block were also detailed. Finally, the simulation experiment was put forward to confirm the stability of the software.
