With the trend to miniaturization and MEMS technology continues to improve, not just miniature components have been applied to various premium fields, including aerospace、automobile manufacturing、genetic engineerig、life science, etc and now further forward in people’s daily life. In this case, micro-assembly technology presented a great challenge, and precision requirements of parts assembly as miniaturization degree is also increasing. For small parts、easy deformation、assembly precision,the realities that through manual assembly not only labor-intensive, but also low assembly precision, to design a stable and reliable automatic assembly machine is one of key technologies to improve micro assembly level.This thesis describes the design of a assembly clamping force to vacuum adsorption of gantry micro assembly console. Console rely on X、Y axis linear motors, which can complete the fast plane movements. In order to meet the frequent tool changes in the assembly process, designed a reliable locking device, which can achieve automatic loading and unloading function that adsorption head can be changed. And in order to the consistency of actions, design a turret whose functions are storing tools and unloading tools. Design and analysis key components who affect the accuracy, such as beam.Having checked the selected motor, to ensure motion stably and reliably. In order to meet the assembly sequence and assembly time,design the positions of every component reasonably on the workbench.According to the characteristics of small parts, using machine vision to identify and match parts, determine the position and post of parts on the workbench. Images of small parts who will be assembled are collected, preprocessing the images, such as median filter and gauss smooth to optimize image qualities of parts feature extraction. Having studied the templates production and matching methods, according to the characteristics that every part has obvious and different contour shape, using a method based on shape matching, writing effective programs of templates making and matching. To improve accuracy of matching, proposed sub-pixel contour matching. In order to improve the robustness of recognition and matching system, carried out a lot of experiments, obtained some important matching operator parameters for subsequent optimizing operators and improve the success rate of recognition, provides favorable data support.In the thesis, research and design the gantry micro assembly console provide a certain theory basis and methods of assembly for micro assembly technology, to improve the automation levels has a great significance in the field of micro assembly.
