Morden society today depends heavily on the Internet which carries plenty of information and drives increasing amount of things to perform better. The most significant benefit of information age is that even daily finance and e-commerce activities are able to be done conveniently just by simple steps using online banking, such as shopping, money transfer, payment and finance management. Whilst banks provide convenience for us and gains growth in profits themselves, they are also receiving increasingly severe security risks. By constantly helping the online-bank users to improving security awareness, teaching them install and use anti-virus and anti-trojan softwares as well as hardware security control chips especially, the security factors of the financial activities of the mass should be enhanced. In recent years, the banking systems witnessed the stable and speeding increment in number of users applying security control devices, implying the potentially huge market of USB-interface security control chips. With these dedicately designed chips, users’money will be able to be protected from hackers, phishing websites, trojans and so on so forth. This article covers related background and testing process of a Flash-based USB-interface security control chip from both the market and design perspectives. Moreover, researches in this topic play an important role in promoting security control chips in growing numbers of fields.
