Automated Testing Management System Design Based On Agile Methodology

In recent years, agile development methodologies become popular for efficient development team, with its great feature of human-centered, fast iterative and quick response to customer’s demand. For the rapid development of the financial software, agile method is particularly extensive. NOMURA is a software company which is the technology provider of securities trading business. The company is in the middle of a massive data intelligent search engine development. This application is designed to help credit market salesman and trader to search the product inquiry information. Since the requirement changes are frequent, and the product delivery cycle is very short, the application of agile development methods became a must. Along with the agile model is applied, it became also difficult to implement automated testing and test management. Test work is facing challenges and need an effective way to guide the testing process.To solve these problems, the characteristics of agile development model are the focus. Based on a cross-border banking software company financial Inquiry System agile development project, the testing targeted traditional test method is analyzed, and automated testing methods inadequate the use of the concept of agile testing to build a fast iterative testing process and automated testing integrated systems is analyzed and designed. Firstly, the agile testing process to elaborate theoretical knowledge is introduced. Secondly, the requirement of automated test integrated system in multinational bank software testing project implementation of the application is analyzed and summarized. Thirdly, automated testing integrated system is designed, in which, the main contents of the test cases based TestLink automated test management and execution framework, and the Web automated regression testing tool Selenium and Bugzilla which is defect management tools for integrating development of automated testing integrated system. Finally, regarding the current work on this project, implementation results of the agile testing management system and further prospects are summarized.
