Radio frequency identification(RFID) is the core technology of the Internet of things. It is a non-contact automatic identification method to identify the object and obtain relevant information, this unique characteristic makes it widely used in various fields.Readers and electronic tags are two most basic components of RFID system, the transmission of information through the antenna between them, so as to realize the automatic identification of the RFID system.Finish the transmission of information without physical concact make the RFID system can work in hostile environment, it can also identify multiple objects at the same time. The performance of antenna in the RFID system has certain influence on the performance of RFID system. The antenna of RFID system better to have a simple structure, small size, ease of integration, and the low cost, the micro-strip antenna can meet these demands, micro-strip antenna has a great advantage, especially it has small size.According to the application requirements of the RFID system, there are a lot of working frequency for choose, this paper is based on the 2.45 GHz frequency, simulation analysis of the rectangular micro-strip patch antenna.Firstly introduce the basic structure and principle of radiation micro-strip antenna, and then analyses the feed position, the material and the thickness of the substrate’s effect on the performance of the micro-strip antenna. With the continuous development of RFID technology, practical RFID system has entered people’s life and work. As the RFID system has a very wide range of applications, which requires the RFID system can adapt to different working environment, but the changing of the external environment may influence the performance of the antenna in the RFID system, and this changing will affect the transmission distance of the RFID system directly, so it is necessary to explore the performance of RFID tags antenna in specific environment. On the premise of the RFID system is working in different environments, discuss the 2.45 GHz working frequency of micro-strip patch antenna. In order to make a concrete analysis, here we choose two special working environment:1、the RFID tags antenna is bending, conforming to a cylinder, and cylindrical bending can be divided into bend in E plane and in H plane.2、mine tunnel, the environment of the mine is complex, the roadway cross section size and the electric parameters of tunnel walls are all increase the transmission loss, it will reduces the transmission distance of the RFID system.Using MATLAB and HFSS simulation software analyze the micro-strip patch antenna model, analysis the relationship between the antenna’s performance and the transmission distance.
