With the widespread use of information technology, extensive resource sustainable development and environment protection consciousness, new technologies are applied in urban areas step by step. Wisdom community and city are more and more popular with the public, which highlights the importantance of security surveillance. At the same time, with the development technology of high definition camera, high definition transmission and high definition display, smart camera is continuously brought in industry, medical treatment and community, which meets the need of people better. But now with the promotion of intelligent surveillance, the number of camera increases rapidly with large data. It is a great challenge for current people to obtain useful information.The detection of Off-position is one of the most significant research fields in intelligent video surveillance, which monitoring the staff attendance in the scene of office area. It is also welcomed by the majority of people in some specific regions for reducing the work of management staffs and has good value. Traditional video surveillance has the architecture of client and server.The data on the net is redundant and the requirement of server is high. Now the new embedded smart camera is famous for small volumn, low power consumption, good stability and high speed and receives much concern. All function modules are integrated on a chip which lower the difficulty of development and design cost. Also it is efficient and rational to use the equipment which can handles the multi-channel video for reducing the number of it.The aim of this thesis is intelligent object detection starting from the security surveillance. The research of smart detection is used on the DM8168 platform of on-chip system which is the latest TI and the most powerful video processor. It combines the advantages of traditional projects and is integrated with multi-core. A more efficient memory management, with process management and floating point arithmetic together is used to improve the performance of system as a whole. At first it introduces the hardware platform, software architecture of relying on MCFW framework, the real-time acquisition of multi-channel high-definition 1080p video, the creation of video data link, the design of whole software framework and the object analysis of multi-channel video. Also the communication between the multi-core in the chip is realized on the SysLink and IPC. Furthermore, it uses the hardware encoder of integrated in DM8168 platform and processes the encoded video to transfer on network.At last, the real-time intelligent video surveillance of multi-channel capturing, processing, encode, decode, transmission and display are implemented on a chip.The algorithm of intelligent surveillance combines the advantages of fast object detection of Vibe and frame difference. The sample randomness in Vibe and the rapidity of frame difference are made full use. It also increase the precision of object detection to some extent. In order to speed up the processing efficiency and improve the system performance, the optimization of software is considered in the framework with the hardware architecture,including the compile option, the loop structure, keywords, the interface of standard function, the storage allocation, DMA and so on. Finally, the fast object detection of high definition video is operated on the DM8168 platform. Furthermore, the smart camera is used in Off-position detection with higher practicability and value.
