In recent years, Digital Campus has grown rapidly along with the advance of information technology. However, some unavoidable problems have occurred: first of all, soft and hardwares are under-utilized; secondly, the supplies and needs are out of balance; thirdly, management cost is very high. To address those issues, Digital Campus based on Open Stack framework has been proposed. This approach allows for costly, extendable, custom-made Digital Campus System with relatively lower cost. As a newly-born technology, Cloud Computing can provide new solution to those issues. In this paper we first discuss the background knowledge about Digital Campus Platform, including some fundamental concepts, principles of Open Stack framework, and virtualization technologies. Then we present the three main service forms of cloud computing, followed by a feasibility analysis about the application of cloud computing in digital campus. The main contribution of this paper is that we propose a novel model based on Open Stack framework to address the aforementioned issues suffered by existing digital technology. We analyze the disadvantages of traditional deployment and applied to the digital campus with the dynamic distributed scheduling algorithm. We perform a simulation for the proposed algorithm with different parameter settings under Cloud Sim environment. The simulation result proves the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. Also, we present a controllable, measurable, and secure cloud computing scheme with Digital authentication technology based on the root of Credit and isolation. We establish a Cloud Platform based on the demands of colleges. We deploy the OA system onto the Open Stack cloud framework. The experiment shows that the scheduling algorithm improves the efficiency of the digital campus platform and brings users very competitive cloud products. Our implementation shows that the new digital campus system improves in resource utilization rate, management cost.
