When studying at No.9 Shandong Provincial Middle School, Ma Shaobo began to establish the revolutionary magazine "Tianwai". Later he participated in the Anti-Japanese War and the Liberation War, after the establishment of People’s Republic of China, he focused on creating drama and promoting the reform of drama theory. He has been an active participant. But, as the youth who were born in the war years, he was influenced by the Enlightenment earlier than other young man. In early time in Jiaodong, Ma was also active in the fields of politics, literature, journalism and so on. He was one of the important secretaries directly participate in the battle and he was also the propagandist of the war. He made a significant contribution to the revolutionary propaganda and the construction of culture in jiaodong area.In 2008,"The corpus of Ma Shaobo"were published. It included not only his experiences and achievements on drama after the founding of new China, but also his works in newspapers or journals in early time in Jiaodong, such as "Dazhong Newspaper", "Haitao", "The Defense of Culture" and so on.Recently I found several original Journals edited by Ma Shaobo, such as "Jiaodong Dazhong", "Jiaodong Qingnian", "Jiaodong Wenyi".They were all edited and published during the Anti-Japanese War and the Liberation war. These journals were hidden in private hands scattered, or collected in archives, libraries and special collections museum, They are rarely seen. In these journals, his writing and editorial feature were distinctive. They reflected the condition and propaganda of Jiaodong base in the wartime.And this is the thing that is ignored by academics nowadays.This paper is based on the basic information,such as "The corpus of Ma Shaobo" and "The research corpus of Ma Shaobo", then combined with the primary references, including "Haitao", "Dazhong Newspaper", "Jiaodong Dazhong", "Jiaodong Wenyi" "Jiaodong Qingnian" and so on.It systematic shows the people of Ma Shaobo and his early journalism and communication activities in Jiaodong, including his publications, journal style and editorial thought. This paper rewards Ma Shaobo as a journalist, and explores his struggle and choice when he faced the class struggle and journal propaganda as a Communist Party journalist in the wartime. He should serve for the Anti-Japanese war, but the cruelty of class struggle made him injured. He tried to find a propaganda way which was more effective and without violence.The first part of the paper is the introduction, the main content is the reason of the topic and research narrative; the second part is the introduction of Ma Shaobo, including the enlightenment experience of childhood, youth participate in the war, the activities of journalism and communication, the experiences and achievements after the founding of People’s Republic of China; The third, the fourth, the fifth and the sixth part are the main parts of the paper, which are also the parts of innovation. These parts systematically introduced activities of Ma Shaobo in politics, literature and journalism and communication in the jiaodong area. He was the major editor of "Tianwai" and "Haitao",he was also a writer who published many works in "Dazhong Newspaper". In this part, I will focus on introducing three journals ("Jiaodong Dazhong","Jiaodong Qingnian"and "Jiaodong Wenyi").The last part sums the relationship between Ma Shaobo and these several newspapers, journals,It also includes their characteristics and limitations.In this framework, the paper will rely on original information, combine with the social environment and the war situation, cross the document analysis and content analysis, and creative a whole description of Ma Shaobo’s activities in politics, literature and journalism fields. The paper will demonstrate the impact of Ma Shaobo involved in the war activities and culture construction. It will add new materials to the research of Ma Shaobo and fill gaps in academic research in this area; on the other hand relying on the first-hand information, it will intuitive showing the combat history of Jiaodong.
