With the rapid development of laser technology, laser galvanometer scanning technology has been widely used. It means the demand of social talents is growing. It’s necessary to have related courses in college to strengthen the basic education about laser control technology.Aiming at the domestic market gaps of similar teaching instrument, the demonstration experiment system based on galvanometer scanner uses the laser marking machines and laser show equipment for the foundation of the development. The basic idea is to abstract the applications of industry to the experimental teaching. The purpose of the design is to let the student understand the basic principle of laser beam control technology which includes optical elements, the control technology of scanner through this device. It not only helps experimental teaching but also fosters students’the capabilities of practical engineering application. To make the system structure clearer, it’s composed of modular structures. The optical platform consists of semiconductor laser, beam expander, dual-axis galvanometer scanner, F-theta lens and screen. They all fixed to the rail by the fixture and the distance between each other can be adjusted. The control apparatus contains the power supply circuit, the main control circuit, D/A conversion circuit, the laser drive circuit and the servo drive circuit of galvanometer.According to the principle of the servo control, it proposes a closed loop control system with two circles based on position and current. Besides, a driving circuit with two modes is designed. It can be chosen according to the specific applications. PD control method is used when the application lay emphasis on scanning speed. Otherwise, PID control method will be chosen. In the experiment, effectiveness of this system is satisfying.
