The Domestic And Foreign Digital Resource Providers’ Metadata Differential Analysis

The development of Internet makes the traditional social structure changed. The function of Internet is replacing the traditional chain. Especially in the WEB2.0 era, everyone is a publisher of information, and people want to eliminate the information asymmetry through the network. However, information resource of the Internet is more like a "great scourges". If there is no perfect information management mechanism, people can only be flooded by information. They cannot effectively use information to create value. The effective organization, management and utilization of information are more and more important.The Internet search engine provides the function of information gathering and retrieval at the moment, it is usually through a certain strategy, using the computer program or web robots to collect information from the Internet, then it clean the treatment to users. But as in the big data era, the Internet search engine retrieval results return more and more difficult to meet the needs of users. People from the traditional paper retrieval system with experience want to put the traditional bibliographic retrieval application to the Internet. But it is difficult to use the complicated machine readable cataloging rules directory into a large number of information. Therefore, with the development of the network information, people devoted to metadata to organize and retrieval resource information. With the development of metadata, the platform for various types of cyber source application metadata standards appears, which caused difficulty for resource integration in the future. In this paper, with the development process of metadata, we study the domestic and foreign various resource providers. Through comparative analysis and case study of metadata, we will provide strong support for constructing metadata standard drafting. Then we can provide some advice to the native digital standards.This thesis is divided into 5 chapters, each chapter is as follows:The first chapter is introduction. This chapter describes the research background, research significance, research content and purpose, research methods and innovation points of this paper.The second chapter is a summary of the development of domestic and international metadata. In foreign countries, this chapter firstly uses empirical method "web of knowledge" database to analyze overseas study about metadata documents by web. Secondly, we use literature review to analyze the evolvement of metadata. In the domestic steps:firstly, we use the CNKI database to analyze the domestic research about metadata. Secondly, we analyze the research progress of domestic projects.The third chapter is about differential analysis with metadata of each resource provider. The 11 resource providers resource types selected were analyzed and compared. By means of contrast analysis with domestic and foreign resources providers, we will find out domestic resource providers characteristic classification problems and the resources development direction. This chapter is divided into three parts. The first part is about the analysis of difference with traditional metadata.In this part, we use the traditional digital resources metadata of Wan fang Data as an example, the first is the study on the design of metadata in Wan fang Data principle, the second is analysis of the difference between Wan fang Data traditional digital resources metadata and foreign DC metadata, finally we summarize the metadata difference of Wan fang and other domestic and foreign resource providers to provide the relevant data to each resource provider of traditional digital resources metadata modifications. The second part is the analysis of characteristic resources metadata compared to domestic resource provider. With the development of digitalization, providers’ resources are more and more diversity, this part selects the foreign literature, patents, standards, legal documents, books, papers and citations analysis metadata to compare.The forth chapter analyzes the metadata of unique database on domestic resource providers. On one hand we analysis resource development to provide multiple direction. On the other hand we also expect to provide reference data for characteristic database metadata construction.The fifth chapter is to draft the domestic digital metadata standard system framework. In the age of big data, integration of digital resources represents the general trend. Finding the unity of our metadata standards still have many problems. We will construct the standard system framework including metadata and provide ideas of industry standards.
