With the high development and extensive use of computer technology,the importance of computer network is more and more obvious. Our societyneeds more and more talented personsfor thecomputer network, which causes the majority of colleges and universities pay more attention to training computer networktalents. As everyone knows, due to the lack of hardware devices and the limitation of opening time makes the network training do not reach the ideal effect. In order to provide an independent learning environment for learners, network equipment manufacturers and some software companies develop much simulation software. Students can operatesimulation softwareon computer every time. Therefore, it can reduce dependence on physical device. This simulation software provides an opportunity for reducing pressure of teaching resources and providing technical support to virtual simulation teaching.This study is based onsecondary development of simulation software, building a teaching platform of virtual simulation for computernetwork course. The platformprovides a teaching environment which not only studentshave the clear direction of experimental learning but also teachers can grasp the situation of students’ learning.Then we can improve learning efficiency and teaching efficiency.This thesis mainly research contents as follows:1. To analyses necessity of designing and developing the platform.The insufficient of the current research and achievement on virtual experiment teaching system at home and abroad is summarized which can provide a reference for designingand developing this system.2.Simulation software and functional requirements of virtualteaching platform for computer network course is determinedby the users’ perspective. Then the thesis designs overall framework, specific function modules and databases.In principle of usability, high efficiency and safety, to research the development tools and main technical means.3. To research the secondary development of computer network simulationsoftware and to solvethe client detected and called by Active X controls.Using technologies such as window handles getted and Image recognition to implement experimental data analysis. To design statistical methods which can make the data more valuable.This thesis completes the design ofvirtual teaching platform forcomputer network course.Then according to the design, virtual teaching platform for computer network course is builded, which can achieves all functions of the system. Finally, through system perfect, make its real application possible.
