At present, the level of cargo transportation in China is generally low and the overall costs and empty-loading ratio are relatively high, leaving a big space for improvements. How to effectively use the infrastructure, information and organizational functions of logistics to improve the overall efficiency of the transport is becoming a critical issue. In this thesis, ArcGisServer and VS.NET2005 development platform are used to quickly build logistics management information system based on WEBGIS technology. By analyzing the principle of components, detailed descriptions on the ArcMap principle and vector layer design are given. GIS basic elements are also adopted, and the practical basic elements are further expanded. Vector layer design principle is applied to further develop suitable routes of transport layer. By ArcGIobe and ArcGIS Server,2D and 3D virtual GIS views are created entirely based on our own GIS data content, and the changing information of the map data can be maintained..NET Framework provides the access to the key technologies developed by the simplified ASP Web applications and XML Web services. Using ArcGIS Server on the Microsoft.NET platform, a complete set of development tools are put forward for developing Web applications and services. GIS applications are rapidly deployed and developed. In this study, GIS technology and the.NET platform are chosen prospectively to develop logistics information system. By the research on GIS technology combined with the traditional logistics according to the enterprise actual need, the whole module and function development are realized. Through the continuous improvement and application of the system, the integrated management is implimented, and the operation is simple. The visual tracking management of the vehicle goods is realized, which greatly improves the overall management level and benefit.
