In the field of agricultural production, because of the expanding of the production, the need for multiple robots is also increasing, therefore, both colleges and universities at home and abroad and relevant experts and scholars pay more attention to the study of the agricultural multi-robot system. But the domestic research of multi-robot system is less than the abroad, especially the study of communication system, because of this, based on some existing communication protocols, the agricultural multi-robot wireless communication system is established and the related software is written.In this paper, the main research work and results are as follows:(1) Analyzing the technology and characteristic of several common used multi-robot communication deeply and discussing its application prospect in the field of agriculture, draw the conclusion after comparing :the wifi technology is currently the most suitable for establishing agricultural multi-robot wireless communications technology, and how to establish a reliable, stable and efficient wifi communications network become the main purpose of the study of multi-robot wireless communication system.(2) Through the method of the field test and drawing the graph, make a study of the transmission of rate and signal intensity of percentage between transmission distance. Through the comparison of three different situations of the taoyuan, corn, and clearing, we studied the different crops on the similarities and differences in the influence of wireless communication signals. To determine respectively the spread of the wireless signals in corn, taoyuan and lots effective distance of 20 meters, 40 meters and 70 meters. Through the comparison of theoretical study of wireless communication technology and the data of field test, wi-fi technology is verified can meet the requirements of agriculture multi-robot wireless communication in actual use.(3) According to the special conditions of agricultural production, choose embedded Linux based on ARM to develop agriculture multi-robot wireless communication program. On this basis, set up a hardware development platform for the wireless communication program with OK6410 development board and Linux cross compile environment. And in-depth study the wifi protocol and Linux embedded development technology based on ARM.(4) Using the QT software application to develop, and cross compiling, to make the program run on OK6410 ARM development board, and make a complete set of procedures to run the test. Eventually results of program show that the software can be a very good run on OK6410 ARM development board, can well realize the pilot two-way wireless communication between the robot and follow the robot on the tree topology.
