With the rapid development of intelligent robot,people paid more and more attention to development of six-axis force sensor which is one of the important components of intelligent robot.Sensor calibration is a key link before sensors are put into use.Along with the growing information which needed to be processed immediately,studies on intelligent calibration system which could complete sensor calibration have important meaning and practical value.This article investigated calibration system and static calibration parameters of six-axis force sensor. Introduced operating principle of a novel six-axis force sensor.Completed sensor static calibration by using intelligent calibrating system based on virtual instrument.The major research works in this article include:(1)Analyzed the current situation of six-axis force sensor and the calibration system.Proved the significance of researches on intelligent calibration system.(2)According to the principles of the six-axis force sensor calibration, and combined with the advantages and disadvantages of existing calibration devices,designed the static calibration device of the six-axis force sensor.The device is capable of accurately loading to each dimension of six-axis force sensor in order.(3)Introduced components of DAQ system which based on LabVIEW.This program can realize multi-channel real time data acquisition,which is different from traditional DAQ system.(4)Use the static calibration device and the virtual instrument static calibration system to conduct static calibration experiment.By the static calibration experiment and analyzing and validating the results,the static calibration matrix is acquired.At the same time,the reasons of errors are also analyzed.Static calibration system based on virtual instrument plays an especially important role in intelligent calibration system.Research work in this paper for improved design of the six-axis force sensor is significant. Meanwhile,the research of the calibration device and the calibration systems is very useful establishing measurement standard of the six-axis force sensor.
