With the rapid development of intelligent robot, people paid more and moreattention to the development of piezoelectric sensor which is one of the importantcomponents of intelligent robot. Sensor calibration is a key link before sensors are putinto use. Along with the growing information which needed to be processedimmediately, studies on intelligant calibration system which could complete sensorcalibration have important meaning and practical value.This article investigated calibration system and static calibration parameters ofpiezoelectric multi dimensional force sensor. Introduced operating principle of a novelsix dimensional force sensor.Completed sensor static calibration by using intelligentcalibrating system based on virtual instrument.This article mainly completed the following respects of work:①Analyzed the current situation of multi dimensional force sensor and thecalibration system.Proved the significance of researches on intelligent calibrationsystem.②Introduced the novel six-aixs force sensor from aspects of piezoelectric effect,the option of sensitive element, structure and operating principle and etc. Staticcalibration parameters of piezoelectric multi dimensional force sensor are includingsensitivity, linearity, hysteresis error, and repetition rate, resolution, and temperaturedrift, calibration coefficient matrices and static coupling.③Introduced components of DAQ system which based on LabVIEW.This programcan realize multi-channel real time data acquisition, which is different from traditionalDAQ system.④Conducted static calibration experiment by both traditional static calibrationsystem and DAQ system based on LabVIEW. The results of two methods verified DAQsystem which based on LabVIEW can take place of the traditional static calibrationsystem.Static calibration system based on virtual instrument plays an especially importantrole in intelligent calibration system.This article has profound significance indevelopment of intelligent calibration system for piezoelectric multi dimensional force sensor.
