Recently, along with the improvement of people’s life quality, traveling has already become an indispensable element. However, people are expecting a free and customized way of traveling rather than a traditional mode, which was not enough for meeting the high demand of requirements. As a result, Self-Navigation System is becoming more and more popular. In the meantime, highly development and popularity of smart phone contributes wide attention of Self-Navigation traveling mode based on hand-held equipment. This paper focuses on researching a Self-Navigation System based on Android platform and Augment Reality(AR). The main research results are as follows:1. Research on interest point Recognition based on technology of multi-sensor fusion, which results in the implementation of recognition of interest points positioned in front of phone camera.2. This paper proposed and enhanced way to solve the problem of "noise" information brought by GPS by using density-based clustering method to filter the noise, which is obtained by GPS within a certain period of time, and then finalize the final GPS coordinates data by doing arithmetic mean on rest of the data after filtering.3. Design and implement a Self-Navigation System based on Android Platform smart phone and Augment Reality(AR) Technology. The system is mainly for old buildings, especially the corrupt, the structure is not complete ancient building. After locating and identifying them,3D model and text description information will be shown on the phone screen, implementing the augment of the real environment and efficiently enhancing the user’s experience.
