LED(Light Emitting Diode) is an outstanding performance of the semiconductor optoelectronic devices, with its small size, long life, low power consumption, environmental protection, etc. are gradually replacing existing car lights and street lighting and other traditional light. But with the number of occurrences of industrial development, environmental pollution, rain, snow and other inclement weather conditions haze increasingly frequent, LED light source in actual use itself vulnerable to the junction temperature, the package structure and the impact of complex atmospheric environment, while different LED light source differences will directly affect the visibility of road traffic safety.LED packaging structure for the article itself, the chip junction temperature and in rain,fog, haze and other weather environment interaction with particulate matter, assisted by the use of three-dimensional graphics software design three-dimensional models and simulation software to study Tracepro thermal characteristics. Experiments conducted using commercial power white LED calibration, test the relevance of white LED chip junction temperature and spectral characteristics, influence of junction output; by measuring different parameters, the LED packaging structure and the shape of the simulation study the LED package structure of light propagation inside the device against impact; white LED was measured and the different types of single-color LED in the simulation of complex atmospheric light attenuation, the light intensity distribution characteristics. Experiments of this paper is divided into three parts, the first, the junction temperature test test method that uses non-contact spectroscopy, contrast with the classical method of forward voltage to study the effects of taking temperature transmission; second, simulation of reflection bowl, packaging materials and packaging components of these three lenses LED light impact on the device’s internal transport, third, to simulate the complex climate of fog, rain, snow weather in the propagation characteristics of LED light.Through the above work, the main results obtained are as follows:1. LED chip junction temperature has some effect on the light transmission characteristics,mainly in the junction temperature changes with the lighting, LED luminous flux, peak wavelength of blue and white LED power ratio has changed.2. The material and shape of the package components will change the transmission characteristics of the LED light inside the device largely.3. LED light propagation in a simulated haze snow climate atmosphere by atmospheric particles in the material, refraction, scattering, and absorption phenomena, refraction, scattering and absorption varies with the degree of particle radius of particulate matter in the environment and changes in particle concentration change.This study designed to test LED street lamps and automobile traffic light has important reference value, the actual road to improve traffic safety has some theoretical and practical significance.
