With the continuous development of the software industry, software products increasingly large scale, the function is also more and more complex. Faced with this situation, the work of software test is more and more heavy. Especially regression testing work with each new version, there are a lot of duplication of work. Therefore the use of automation test technology is the solution to the problem of software enterprises the most common now.Automation test can release a software tester from a lot of duplication work of regression testing. They can put more energy into the test design of the new features and lookup software defects. The efficiency of automation test is better than manual test, and it do not need a rest. Although, automation test cannot completely replace the manual test, it becomes an important part of software testing work now.This project designs and implements an automation test system based on Robot Framework for the product Trend MicroTM InterScan Web Security Virtual Appliance. This automation test system can cover main functions of IWSVA, such as virus scan, log and report, LDAP user authentication and notification.
