Design And Implementation Of Hospital Out-patient Management System

Along with the improvement of information technique and medical treatment, the Hospital Information System(HIS) plays more and more important role in hospitals. The hospital information system is paid more and more attention. It can improve the medical service level and make the work efficient. The system can increase economic benefits too.The out-patient management system is an important part of HIS, which provides some assistants for out-patient department work.Hospital out-patient management system is designed and developed through the actual numbers of hospitals research. In view of existing businesses and characteristics of hospital out-patient information system, business process, business need and function need were analysed. The system uses B/S model as the architecture system. It uses Microsoft C# as foreground development tool and uses SQL Server as Database Management System. The system includes four main function modules: the hospital out-patient registration, out-patient charges, out-patient pharmacy, and the basic information maintenance. Registration, registration retirement, day checkout and query functions are implemented in the out-patient registration module; Out-patient charges, refund, day checkout and query functions are implemented in the out-patient charges module;Out-patient pharmacy has some functions, including drug dispensing and sending, drug refunding and querying. Furthermore, the system also can maintain information of personnel group and department. This system is easy to operate. It runs stably with accurate data, and it has friendly human-machine interface. This system fits the operational process of hospital. It improves the versatility, the repeatability and the maintainability of out-patient management system, and it provides support to hospital information management.
