With the development of computers, wireless communication technology and sensors, a new kind of computer network gradually developed-Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). Wireless sensor network is a special kind of wireless communication network which consists of many sensor devices distributed in space. These sensors cooperatively perceive, monitor and collect the physical or environmental conditions of different locations, transferring these information to the users who need these through Ad hoc mode. Because these sensor devices need to collect some location-related information or need to cover as much space as possible, the problem of wireless sensor device deployment draws researchers’ attention. Traditional static deployment method has some limitations, we can not use this method in cases that deploy condition is not clear before deploying or cases that wireless sensors can not easily deployed manually. In this paper, artificial bee colony algorithm is on research, which is one of dynamic wireless sensor deployment algorithm. Artificial bee colony algorithm is one of bionic intelligent algorithms, which simulates the process of honeybees collecting nectar, gradually optimizing solutions, and ultimately getting the highest possible wireless sensor coverage. This paper optimizes the original artificial bee colony algorithm focusing on the problem of wireless sensor deployment. Firstly, we add parameters to control the optimization speed of solutions. Secondly, introducing a new kind of optimization that is based on the relationship between solutions and the solving process on the neighbor optimization. Finally, a simulation experiment is carried out, which proves that the improved algorithm can quickly find the optimal solution, and the result coverage is also improved to a certain extent.
