Electronic shelf label was designed to replace the traditional retail shelf sticker paper. It in addition to being able to display price, if necessary, can also display other products information. In the past two years, ESL in the number of used in domestic retail enterprises has a trend of gradually expanding. In a typical application of ESL mall, label manager with a large number of tags by means of radio communication, in the face of such a huge number of electronic label, in order to better manage the entire system, determine the position of the label is particularly important.Electronic shelf label location problem can be classified as indoor positioning problem, in this environment, cellular wireless positioning precision is difficult to meet the demand of the positioning, and the GPS signal is difficult to penetrate buildings, unable to pinpoint, outdoor environment positioning method is not applicable. Therefore, how to make use of existing infrastructure network, realizes the low cost, fast indoor accurate positioning has become a hotspot of current positioning technology and one of the difficulties.This paper analyzes the wireless locating method based on RSS both at home and abroad, and mainly handling of RSSI, indoor propagation models, localization algorithm study these three aspects.First of all, to study the process of sampling value of the RSSI average method is analyzed, gauss method in eliminating transient disturbance effect in the process of the wireless signal propagation effects. Then stage according to the maximum likelihood estimate in coordinate improvement method is put forward, the positioning method for a cycle executive program, every cycle to coarse positioning, through the formula to adjust cover factor, finally at the end of the cycle before a fine positioning.Before, according to the proposed improved positioning method in simulation experiment, and comparing with maximum likelihood method, the concrete from two aspects of the average position error and accumulated error probability are compared, and the experimental analysis of the cover factor variance changes, the performance of two methods. Simulation results show that after using the improved method proposed in this paper, cover factor to estimate the out of the path, the average position error and accumulated error probability are improved significantly.Finally, through the existing electronic shelf label in the laboratory and ML7105 bluetooth module development, implemented an experimental positioning system, the scene repeated positioning results show that the positioning error of the algorithm in the real environment, and simulation results are again to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm.
