Research On Book Collection Culture Of Ancient Central Plains

Since "Chronicle of Poetry Collection" by Ye Changchi officially opened the study of Chinese book collection in Qing Dynasty, three research booms has been formed and each boom included the research of regional book collection.But the first two paid much attention to the research on the history of book collection,and the third one especially paid attention to the research on book collection cultrue. Over time,the research on book collection culture of ancient central plains which has the long history of civilization is rare. Studying the book collection cultrue of ancient central plains not only makes up the blank in this field,but also reveals the important role of book collection cultrue of ancitent central plains,which is of great siginificance.This article is divided into five parts to research book collection culture of ancient central plains. The first part is the introduction. In the introduction the author firstly summarizes the present situation of research on Chinese ancient book collection culture and the present situation of research on book collection culture of ancient central plains and puts forward in this paper, the research significance.And then the author makes important concepts clear that are involved in this paper, such as, book collection culture, bibliophile, buildings for collecting books and so on. At last, the author defines the time and region scope of research on book collection culture of ancient central plains.In the second part, the article pionts a variety of social and cultural mentality of the main collection bodies from many activities, such as, the sources of book collection, the construction of the buildings for collecting books,the management and utilization of books collected by government,bibliophiles, college libraries, temples of ancient central plains.The third part summarizes the general and unique characteristics of book collection culture of ancient central plains, including root, inclusive, radioactive, the time and inheritance.In the fourth part,the authour analyzes the influnces of politics, economy, culture, education, science and technology and other factors on book collection culture of ancient central plains.In the fifth part, this paper introduces the contributions to the Chinese culture and summarizes the historical position of book collection culture of ancient central plains in Chinese culture by researching saving the books, inheriting civilization, circulation, promoting the development of education, driving the translation career, promoting national communication, promoting academic research.Finally, on the basis of research above, the authour makes a summary of ancient book collection culture of central plains and puts forward the problems in the process of research and the direction of future research.
