Research Of The Material Management Information System For Decoration Engineering Projects Based On Process Analysis

Material management is the critical stage of businessmanagement in a decoration company. It imposes direct influenceon business cost control and capital velocity, and thereforeattains great emphasis from decoration companies. Thetraditional material management developed from the inventorymanagement results to a large number of consumption of human,material and financial resources, which limits the companiesnormal operation. An effort is thus required to develop anddesign a practical material management information system fordecoration engineering projects.The system function analysis was intensively conducted inthis dissertation through field interviewing, questionnairesurvey and data analysis. The specific programs of eachsub-process of decoration projects material management werealso designed based on the deep analysis of the status quo ofthe material management procedure. The material managementinformation system of decoration projects was then developedaccording to the material management information model. Thesystem was applied in the decoration projects in Beijing andGuangzhou. The application effects show that the systemembraces a strong practicability and a wide application range.
