In order to satisfy current social production requirements for high efficiency, highquality and low pollution, the manufacturers of hermetic products are increasingly urgentto expect to conduct on-site air tightness performance test in a quick and easy manner.The air tightness testing technologies have presented continuous innovation anddevelopment since industrial production. There are various testing methods currently,each of which has advantages and disadvantages. The air tightness test throughapplication of differential pressure air leak testing offers advantages over other testingmeans: it doesn’t only present a better cost performance, but also produces lesspollution.This paper focuses on how to apply this testing technology to production and how tomanufacture more accurate, convenient and affordable air tightness testing equipment.Firstly, the fundamental principles of differential pressure air leak test were explained byciting the specific example of balance weighing in this paper; secondly, the air courseconstruction, action sequence and working principles of this design were described in thispaper, the device type selection and circuit design of the part of data acquisition outlinedand the feasibility of the ensured whole machine performance analyzed specifically whenthe low-price devices of temperate performance are selected; thirdly, an analysis wasmade based on the test data, pointing out that there are some unreasonable demandswhich have been proven through experiments in the national standards for the currentdifferential pressure air leak tester in leakage detection tests; fourthly, according to theanalysis conclusions of the uncertainty of measurement for the indication error, this airleak tester was made notable improvement in testing accuracy and stability by modifyingtime parameters; finally, the auxiliary air charging and exhausting devices which are usedin conjunction with air leak testers and communication protocols were described,expanding the functions of air leak testers and facilitating the testing process.
