High dynamic range image is a kind of image which can make a complete descriptionof the brightness range in the real world scene, it is able to show the very dark or verybright areas which humans can perceive but traditional low dynamic range image can notexpress, and thus bring people a more realistic visual experience. It is in digitalphotography, film special effects, lighting and image-based virtual reality applications inareas such as more widespread. However, due to access and display high dynamic rangeimages require expensive specialized equipment, which hindered its promotion ineveryday applications. It is aimed to synthesize high dynamic range image fromtraditional digital images and display it on the low dynamic range of the display device.Research work can be divided into two parts: a high dynamic range image synthesisand display. High dynamic range image synthesis method is generally based on the samescene with different exposure amount of the image to be. Details of the principle of thesynthesis process, which is the key to recovery response curve of the camera, and thenreverse solving real illumination of the scene. High dynamic range image display deviceon the low dynamic tone mapping process should be carried out. At present, more tonemapping algorithms, which can be divided into the same airspace and airspace changes intwo categories. In a typical study some basic algorithms, we propose an improvedalgorithm of Reinhard photographic model. Improved algorithm for image pixel pre-partition, which highlighted and very dark edge is divided into areas classified asmoderate brightness of the central area. On the central area of adaptive logarithmicmapping algorithm for fringe still take the original exposure-shading approach. After theimage bilateral filtering to eliminate noise and halos.A high dynamic range image was synthesized by the simulation, and was displayedon the low dynamic display device. Data on the comparative analysis of the experimentalresults confirmed the improved algorithm than the algorithm in the control group werecloser to the scene of the luminance and chrominance compression processing on realinformation, and retain the details, which gives more realistic.
