DVB is a first specified by the European national standards, the number oforganizations involved in the standards development process. Depending on thetransmission medium, DVB has a variety of forms, including satellite receivers,terrestrial broadcast reception and cable reception. Now based on DVB, high-definitiondigital TV has become the main way digital television system, the formation of a varietyof transmission media are applicable to television broadcasting system. In recent years,the digital television technology rapid development of China’s digital cable TV into thehousehold, China’s large population, the demand for digital TV is still very large, manyyears in the future, the digital television industry will remain sustainable development.However, with constantly updated technology, some old-fashioned set-top box hasapparently unable to adapt to the needs of high-definition television programs to watchthese old-fashioned set-top box equipment, they do not have to watch digital TV functionmodules, but they also do not want to replace old equipment, then in order to watchdigital TV programs to meet their needs, we insert this in the form of USB accessoriesUSB interface on the old set-top boxes, through this collaboration and the host side USBaccessories, cable networks will be able to realize the system receives a signal andconvert it into compliance with the DVB standard TS stream, through the USB interface tothe host-side operations accordingly, the end user will be able to watch high-definitiondigital TV programs.DVB-C receiver system includes the following implementation of several keymodules, USB protocol to the conversion I2C protocol to achieve the configuration of theI2C bus and USB firmware implementations; smart card driver module, describes thephysical organization of smart cards and logical structure achieve a data transfer and smartcard reading and writing, and finally CA conditional Access System, introduced the conditional access system of triple encryption mechanisms, the system analyzes theencryption and decryption process. These three modules work together, and ultimately aDVB-C digital TV accessories.
