Voice services is one of the foundational business mobile communications network served tousers. But with the increasing number of mobile users, the system capacity become the mostimportant issue. Testing and deployment of3G justified when still in full swing, along with therapid growth of the cellular network carrying amount of data, in2004the3GPP make a LongTerm Evolution(LTE) of Universal Mobile Telecommunications System(UMTS), but usually thestandards of4G is refered by LTE which is an evolution of4G.LTE network construction and business development is in full swing worldwide, since LTEnetwork only have switched domain but not the circuit domain, so it becomes an importantresearch project that how to undertake voice services successfully in the LTE era.There are avariety of LTE voice services solutions, but VoLTE have taken full advantages of LTE, andenhanced quality of current voice and video calls, improved the user’s experience. So VoLTE isthe ultimate solution for LTE voice and it also is the industry consensus.In order to achieve VoLTE voice solutions, the study set up LTE platform and collaboratewith real EPS and IMS networks, to form a complete VoLTE voice services architecture, and it hasactual commercial effect, and there is a detail description of VoLTE voice implementationprinciple in the study.In case of LTE network architectures and hardware architectures to be built successful, thestudy analyzes the process of VoLTE basic voice services, respectively, including the EPC networkattachment, IMS registration, VoLTE session establishment and release and media streamingcommunication VoLTE session. In VoLTE implementations, the request of network and theterminals is VoLTE challenges in the future development exist.In this paper, the test case of VoLTE single-cell capacity, respectively, the study analyzed thetest through several aspects in detail, that are the purpose of the test, the test principle, parameterconfiguration of test, test procedures and the results. To solve the problems encountered duringtesting, such as the EPS network situation occurs, UE in the EPC network attachment failure; UEcall though successful, but the voice quality is poor, MOS value is very low, and so on. Eventuallycompleted the testing program, results in a bandwidth of20Mhz, the broadband voice serviceaccess (voice rate23.85kbps) under the maximum number of users is220UE. Through this research tests can prove that VoLTE voice solutions have enhanced thesampling rate, have the better sound quality and MOS values of voice quality is up to more than4points, it equates to lossless CD quality sound, far beyond the voice quality of existing2G/3G.And it turned delay shortened the original2G delay is4to6seconds, VoLTE turned delay is about2seconds, and instantly call up. The program also supports HD video calls at the same time, andpicture so smooth.
