The construction of real name online learning environment is mentioned in theRecommendation on further enriching the educational informatization pilot project,published by Educational Informatization Promotion Office, Ministry of Education. Itpoints out that both constructing personal online learning environment for teachersand students and creating a new online education model of self-learning andmutual-learning embody the core philosophy and the direction of educationalinformatization, and also are the forefront of the development of educationalinformatization. Online learning environment breaks through the space and timelimitation and learning method limitation of existing education model, infinitelyenriching the learning resources, and helping users to make full use of the fragmenttime. It promotes the interaction among teachers and students comprehensively, whichhelps teachers and students to improve mutually, and improves students’ self-learningability.The learning platform is community-based, using community resources toprovide learning opportunities for community members, which is an opened andpersonalized interactive online learning platform. The platform integrates a variety ofhigh-quality educational resources, and meets the needs of learners, providinglearning support services for learners in universities and enterprises.We design the platform to build a digital learning center, which is based on theprofessional resources, and for the purpose of sharing these resources. Its mainfeatures include distributed storage, collection, management, evaluation andapplication of the massive resources which could be fast uploaded, retrieved andarchived. In the mean while, users can make full use of the resources to developquality courses, make online courses and integrate homeworks based on the questionsdatabase. All these features support students and teachers’ online self-learning well.We also introduce the SNS (Social Networking Services) to support socialinteractions, which helps users to learn mutually. The platform provides powerfulservices and supports for the interaction and communication between teachers andlearners, eliminating the loneliness and helplessness in the learning courses,increasing users’ interest in learning, and supporting knowledge sharing.
