With the development of Terahertz technology, the research of interaction betweenTerahertz wave and subwavelength structures is under going. The meeting of structured lightand structured materials is a main direction of the future study. This thesis is trying to figureout the interaction between Terahertz wave and1D subwavelength metal gratings on thebasis of theory, simulation and experiment. The research details are listed in the following:(1) We have compared a variety of methods for the research of interaction betweenTerahertz wave and subwavelength structures in the directions of theory, simulation andexperiments. We have formed a system of analysis which contains the FEM simulation,Photolithography and Terahertz time-domain spectrum to study the response of1Dsubwavelength metal gratings.(2) We have figured the interaction between Terahertz wave and free-standing1Dsubwavelength metal gratings. The extraordinary transmission and Brewster extraordinarytransmission in Terahertz region have been calculated. We have studied the differentinfluence from the two dimensions and given a prediction of future functional devices.(3) We have studied Terahertz wave’s interaction with silicon wafer. We have considerthe structured light-Terahertz wave with OAM and structured materials-1D subwavelengthmetal gratings with substrate and filling materials. We have unified the conclusions bothfrom theory and simulation.(4) We have made a conclusion of the experiments and applications of the concernedtechniques and analyzed the future direction of this field.
