With the intelligentized need of the modern industrial control system, the whole world has been much strict with the electric valve actuator. In China, most electric actuators being produced and used are still laid on the low technical level. Designed with simple and convenient structure, high control accuracy, safe performance, good exception handling and alarm systems, friendly human-machine interactive unit, easy ways to debug and maintain, the intelligent electric actuator has significance in theprocess automation, and will be widely applied in the modern control system.The project develops the mechanical structure by mechanical &electrical integration and devises safe, reliable, convenient, advanced electric motor control system. Motor control system is kernel unit of electric valve actuator. This paper introduces the embedded development technique to design the software of the project. To take the design of the intelligent electrical actuator as the main research object, this paper presents the thought of dual CPU in the application, and makes some progress. The human - machine unit is convenient and efficiently communicated between human and machine, it is not only because that the unit use magnetic switch and infrared remote controller, but also use128×64 Liquid Crystal Displayer. Signal detection part is an important part in motor control system. This project uses spoke - type force transducer with high precision to measure the torque of actuator, utilize the absolute optical rotary encoder to measure the position of valve. Fieldbus is representative of intelligence of actuator. The project devised Modbus and Profibus module according to the standard Modbus and Profibus communication protocol.Now a trial sample has been produced based on this research, and the application of the research fruit will accelerate the widely use of the intelligent electric actuators in China. It will also promote the development of intelligent industrial instrument in China, and has a significant reference meaning to the future research in this field.
