The News Ideology Research Of Chen Bulei

Chen Bulei is a famous figure in the history of the Republic of China,and he iswell known as the identity of the chief secretary to Jiang Jieshi. However, the part ofpolitics is only one of Chen’s life experience, most time of his youth period was as anindependent journalist. He had nearly eleven years’ career time in all of his life,participated in national important turning point, and he had published a large numberof admirable political essays in the newspapers of Tian Duo and Shang,and therewere some positive impact on the political situation at that time.While Chen Buleiwas engaing in journalism, colleagues and society all recognized him. And he hadplayed an important role in the press of Shanghai and even the country. In the processof journalism, Chen Bulei had gradually formed its own unique ideas of news, andtaught news commentary curriculum in FuDan University.His thoughts of the pressreally have certain reference meanings to the offspring.This paper summarize Chen Bulei’s thoughts of press,explore the causes,practical significance of them, based on the existing academic research, and with themost relevant Chen’s historical data. Besides the introduction and conclusion, thewhole article is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is the review of Chen’snews experience. It is divided into four parts, the parts of TianDuo and Shang werethe most brilliant periods of Chen’s news writing, and Chen’s thoughts of the presswere formated in that time. The second part is the most important for this paper, thatsummarizing Chen Bulei’s news thoughts from three aspects, including the view ofnewspapers, journalists view, and freedom of opinion view. Chen Bulei thought thatnewspaper has educational function and social responsibility, and pointed out thejournalists should be thoughtful, timeliness and sharp,and finally putted forward theview of freedom of opinion.The third chapter of the paper analyses that the origin ofChen Bulei’s news thoughts from the three aspects of education, the influence of ageand others,combining with his experience of growth, his friends and his colleagues.Finally, the paper points out that Chen Bulei had wrote a lot of articles influencing thesociety that under the guidance of his news thoughts. Also, Chen Bulei taught news commentary curriculum in FuDan University, cultivated news talents with the newsthoughts that keeping pace with the times. This is the practical significance of Chen’sideas of news.
