Radio frequency identification (RFID), as a key part of the construction of Internet of things, has a function of information collection and acquisition, and has been widely used in transportation, city life, medical, logistics and other fields. Radio frequency identification technology has a lot of different protocol standards in different environment, but they all mainly include two parts: RFID reader and tag. The reader communicate with the electronic tag using wireless induction mode and write information into the tag or read information from the tag.This subject designed and realized the hardware and software design of RFID system of13.56MHz reader, the reader is designed to focus on the overall low power consumption and portability in order to make the reader work without the power supply. This subject firstly introduces the development situation of RFID and the problem it facing at home and abroad. Through the analysis of the RFID technology theory, the design of RFID reader antenna is cleared. Then this paper complete the overall design of a portable RFID reader and the reader is divided into the control part and high frequency part.Digital control system mainly includes MCU control module, power supply module, display module and USB communication module. MCU uses the MSP430chip of TI Company to realize the MCU control. Power supply module uses lithium batteries and solar power supply mode in order to increase the reader’s life. Display module using the low-power OLED display screen, display the information collected from the Mifare card.High frequency module is composed of13.56MHz high frequency transceiver unit and the corresponding matching circuit. High frequency chip adopts the non-contact card reader chip RC522. The antenna matching circuit adopts a direct way to make the the resonance of the antenna to13.56MHz.The code is written according to the international standard ISO14443protocol of the tight coupling of IC card. The specific design of modules includes system initialization, RC522initialization, card, Search, anticonflict, Select, Authentication and then write/read the card, terminate the program.Finally, after the PCB is produced, a circuit test is needed. Then the Software code is downloaded to the PCB board using the integrated environment CCS. After software debugging the reader completed reading the card and displayed the result on the OLED display.
