Design And Implementation Of The General Services’ Delivery System In The Cloud Computing Platform

Cloud computing is a current IT trend and it reveals the next-generation application architecture. Among the three cloud services delivery models, PaaS is the abbreviation of "Platform as a Service". PaaS provides its users the capability to produce self-created or acquire applications using programming languages and tools supported by the platform, and then to deploy them onto the cloud infrastructure. Users are not required to care about the management and control of the underlying cloud infrastructure since it is apparent. They care more about the amount of the kinds of services and the platform’s stability.The subject of this paper is basing on the solution of enriching the kinds of services on the cloud platform. The target is to provide a way to solve the contradiction between the limitation of the platform and the customers’ various requirements. The key theory involved is the concept of Open Platform. It means to introduce capabilities from the third parties into the platform and to satisfy the requirements of customers.In this subject, we put forward opening the PaaS system’s ability of service types management to the public. We define a role for users who submit service types developed by themselves to the platform the Service Providers. They are supported to manage and operate their own service types. The platform provides a portal website to show all open services as well-as its own general services. The cloud customers can order each of them and the system will deliver it to them through the website. In order to implement this delivery system, we refer to the App Store that is in the market and make it as our system model target. To service providers, the system supported operations like submit, update and delete services as they need. While to the platform users or application developers, they select, order, use and purchase services through the system. This paper illustrates the whole process of researching and implementing the above functions of the general services’ delivery system in the Cloud computing platform.
