Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology is maturing and has been applied to4G and WLAN systems, which can increase data rate, enhance system reliability and improve spectrum efficiency considerably. Large MIMO is an emerging technology, which scales up conventional MIMO by possibly orders of magnitude. Hence, Large MIMO can increase the capacity10times or more and simultaneously, improve the radiated energy-efficiency in the order of more than100times.With the number of antenna increasing, however, traditional signal receiving detection methods cannot provide high-performance and low-complexity simultaneously. In view of this case, the research in this thesis is mainly concerned with Likelihood Ascent Search (LAS) algorithm and Reactive Tabu Search (RTS) algorithm based on heuristic search. This paper analyzes the performance and the complexity of different detection algorithms by simulation with different system parameters. Meanwhile, this paper proposes a new detect method, that is Random Interference based RTS algorithm (RI-RTS), aiming at the situation that the performance for higher order modulation of LAS and RTS is far from ML performance. Experiment shows that RI-RTS algorithm achieves significantly better bit error rate (BER) performance with very low complexity.
