Research And Implementation Of LTE Random Access Test Cases Based On LTE Terminal RRM Conformance Test System

With the LTE TDD license granted to telecommunication operators, many manufactures of chips and terminals have accelerated the development and tests on LTE technology. Increasingly importance has been attached to RRM conformance test, which is one of the three conformance tests of3GPP. RRM is short for the "Radio resource management", which is an important ability to UE. RRM conformance test needs the simulation of the real radio environment. And random access procedure is the beginning to establish a steady connection between UE and network, which can make the communication between UE and the network possible. The random access procedure is very important to the performance of UE.According to the TTCN-3testing model and3GPP LTE RRM conformance test specification, my research aims to study the LTE random access procedure based on the RRM conformance test system, shows the study of the hardware and software architecture design of the test system, and analyses the test specification and test procedure on LTE random access. Finally developed the implementation of the random access test case based on TTCN-3, to verify that the UE behavior of the random access procedure is according to the LTE random access requirements.At present, the research has been tested with UE, and passed the GCF certification. And the LTE terminal RRM conformance test system applied with it has been used in the market successfully.
