Software Defined Radio is one of the most important and active research area in the field of mobile communication and electronic. And baseband processing, as one of extremely important modules of Software Radio, plays the role in connecting the baseband signal algorithm with the underlying driver. With the development of LTE-A technology, the need of high processing capacity of baseband platforms for communication system has become increasingly demanding. Therefore, improving the ability of baseband processing and making it programmable are the most important issues of Software Defined Radio system, because of which I proposed this dissertation.The author participated in the development of a general software defined radio product for a communication equipment company and this thesis is a summary of the entire work, including the following aspects:Firstly, the technical characteristics of IEEE802.11g Stardands were summarized, and the sending and receiving process of802.11g data packets were illustrated in detail. Subsequently, the introduced new technology of physical layer were discussed roundly.Secondly, the design, development and validation process of several modules on the baseband platform were presented in detail, including data communication between PC and DSP, communications across multiple DSP cores, data interfaces of DSP-side antenna, the log module of software system and the module of baseband controlling RF.Thirdly, the communication link based on the802.11g Standards was designed and implemented on the Software Defined Radio platform. The computing and storage resources of the baseband processing part of the Software Defined Radio platform were analyzed in the first place, with a systematic plan. And then the framework of802.11g communication link was designed, and the specific implementation of the downlink and uplink was presented. Finally, the overall scheme of verifying the general performance of the communication link was successfully designed and realized, i.e. By wireless video transmission.
