The development Automated Guided Vehicle is very rapid in recent years despite short history. With more attention of enterprise to the modern production concept, AGV will be widely used in many fields. The problem of mechanical structure of AGV, warehouse management software and Path planning is described in the paper. The main content is as follows.First, general planning of AGV which is premise and foundation of the project is described. According to the requirement of program design, the mechanism of structure, driving mode, transmission mode and steering mode is selected. Then the specific size of every parts are designed, and the axle the fork parts are checked. Modeling, finite element analysis and animated simulation are made by used the Solidworks. After that, a brief introduction of the hardware design of AGV is made.Secondly, the warehouse management software is made. Warehouse management software is an important part of warehouse management and-scheduling. It includes a display module and the function module.Finally, the path planning of AGV is described. It includes the shortest path algorithm and multi-vehicle scheduling algorithm. The Dijkstra algorithm and time window algorithm are used to solve the problem.Based on the AGV project, firstly general planning of AGV is designed. Then the warehouse management software is made. Finally the path planning of AGV is described. It has reference significance to further study on AGV.
