With the rapid development of networking and multimedia information processing technologies, multimedia information can be quickly and easily transmitted over the Internet. It leads to the convenience of communication and information sharing, meanwhile, it results in enormous difficulties and new challenges in the field of information security. The traditional technique of the encrypted communication cannot meet the requirements of covert communication due to the fact that it has some disadvantages such as the limitation of the current system and vulnerable interception of the encrypted cipher text. In order to complement the encryption technology, information hiding technology hides the encrypted information in common multimedia files for public transmission, which leads to the low possibility to attract an attacker’s attention to achieve the covert communication. This new information security technology has become popular in the field of information security in recent years and has been widely used in the fields of covert communication and copyright protection. Therefore, the information hiding technique is worth studying and has broad applications.Nowadays, research on audio information hiding technique mainly focuses on the domain of non-compressed audio. Little research on the hidden domain audio compression algorithms has been done. Hewever, the major audio applications are stored and transmitted after compression. Therefore, research on the compressed domain audio information hiding technology is really meaningful. This thesis proposes the hiding technology based on compressed domain information for MP3audio and it includes two main parts as follows: 1. This paper proposes a stegographic algorithm based on MP3linbits bit of Huffman codeword. The algorithm makes use of features that are produced in the process of Huffman encoding linbits of MP3. Firstly, it gets linbits bit by decoding the part of MP3. Secondly, it embeds secret information by the improved LSB in accordance with the rules of linbits bit embedded. Meanwhile, it limits the embedded position by decoding block type. The algorithm has a good transparency, safety and achieve a high capacity.2. This paper proposes a stegographic algorithm based on MP3sign bits of Huffman codeword. MP3will allocate the sign bit of frequency coefficients in the Huffman encoding process. First of all, the algorithm decodes the part of MP3to obtain the sign bit based on these features. Then it replaces the sign bit of the secret information depending on the embedding rules. The algorithm can achieve an extremely high capacity, meanwhile, the transparency and safety can be guaranteed in a good balance.
