In nowadays, wireless mobile communication system is asked to provide much more capacity to meet the demand of the development of mobile internet, while the radio spectrum has already become scarce resources at the same time. Some solutions are presented to solve this problem, like Het-Net and Massive MIMO etc. The Massive MIMO is a technology that provides tremendous degree of freedom by drastically expanding the scale of antenna array which makes it a promising method to improve the system capacity and spectral efficiency.However,it will also bring in some drawbacks when the scale of antenna array grows large, like the degrading efficiency in channel information acquisition,excessive complexity of forward link precoding andreverse link signal detection. This article aims at the low-complexity reverse link signal detection algorithms in Massive MIMO system and the main research target is iteration and statistic based algorithms.The content of this article is listed below.At first, some detection algorithms including traditional detection methods (MF, ZF, SIC and FCSD) and statistic based ways (MCMC based and SSA) are introduced and analyzed. It can be seen that some defects exist in these algorithms like excessive complexity and inefficient utilization of degree of freedom, and some traditional methodsare even not feasible in Massive MIMO because of irrealizable calculation.Then, the idea based on iteration and statistic is analyzed and several drawbacks can be found, like the low efficiency when detecting high order modulated symbols. Some modificationsarepresented to solve these problems.Basing on these modifications, a new algorithm named as LSSA(Layered Sequential Soft-Heuristic Algorithm) is proposed.At last, a software simulation is performed to evaluate the algorithms mentioned in this article. The simulation result has shown that LSSA is a promising method in Massive MIMO reverse link detection.With the works in this article, it can be found that iteration and statistic based algorithms can be a good solution for reverse link detection in the system with large scale antenna array. While some drawbacks still exist in these neo-type algorithms which needs further study.
