As one of the most widely used and promising filed buses, CAN bus has real-time, high reliability and better performance features. To deal with the measurement and control problems of object inclinations, this thesis conducts a deep investigation on object inclination measurement methods. This topic specializes in a dynamic machine angle measurement and control system which has a high resolution. The accuracy of pitch angle is tested within plus or minus0.14°, and the accuracy of roll angle within plus or minus0.40°when it is not greater than15°. Additionally, this system can realize communications among more CAN nodes as well as functional extentions.Specifically, the dynamic machine’s angles are measured by MEMS accelerometer ADXL202E, where the angle signals are transmitted by independent CAN controller SJA1000and CAN driver TJA1050. The main contributions are concluded as follows.1. Propose general design scheme of angle measuring system,then conduct the overall research for the acceleration sensor module, the processor module, CAN module selection and scheme..2. The basic principles, the advantages and disadvantages of MEMS accelerometer sensor ADXL202E are introduced along with the specifications of ADXL202E’s technical parameters.3. The hardware circuits including acceleration signal acquisition modules, the AD conversion modules, the MCU-signal processing modules, the CAN controller and transceiver peripheral circuit modules are designed. Moreover, we take advantage of Altium Designer to design the PCB.4. The application software packages are created, including CAN/RS-232conversion module, terminal node and functional subroutines, CAN communication protocols. We use VC language to design an interface.5. Experiments on the accuracy calibration of the system are carried out, showing that the designing request can be satisfied.
