According to the characteristics of common micro-precision inertial attitude measurement system, this paper presents a high-precision attitude measurement system based on MEMS inertial sensors. The system not only can accurately and independently measure the attitude information of carriers, but also be low cost, small size, strong anti-interference ability. The system can be widely used in many fields such of aerospace, marine, automotive electronics and intelligent robots.The high-precision attitude measurement system based on MEMS inertial sensors using rotational modulation technique as a basic principle, realizes effective compensation for the low-precision, high-drift MEMS inertial sensor errors. This paper starts from the establishment of rotational modulation scheme. Through simulation, the paper proposes a rotational modulation scheme which is suited for micro-precision attitude measurement system. According to the research results, the paper develops a prototype of a high-precision attitude measurement system based on MEMS inertial sensors, and completes a number of prototype performance experiments. The main contents of this paper cover the following aspects:1) Simulation of the rotational modulation schemes. Combined with restrictions on the volume of micro attitude measurement system, low accuracy of MEMS inertial sensors, high drift characteristics and high-precision measurement objectives of attitude measurement system, the paper uses Matlab software for modeling and simulation to different rotational modulation schemes, and determines the optimal rotation modulation scheme in accordance with the simulation results.2) Error analysis. A detailed analysis is carried out to the error of rotational modulation attitude measurement system. By analyzing error classification, derivating inhibition mechanism and researching of sensor error model, the paper demonstrates the accuracy improvement that the rotational modulation techniques make to attitude measurement from the system level and component level.3) Design and implementation of micro-precision attitude measurement system based on MEMS inertial sensors. Based on micro-small, low cost, high accuracy and strong anti-interference ability and other characteristics, and combined with the optimal rotation modulation scheme, the paper designs and implements a micro-precision attitude measurement system based on MEMS inertial sensors. The system can complete the initial alignment within five minutes.4) Prototype performance test. Performance tests are conducted to the prototype micro attitude measurement system prototype which is successfully developed. Experimental results show that the micro attitude measurement system prototype can meet the performance requirements, while the system has compact, low cost, high accuracy measurements and other characteristics, and it will have a broad application prospects.
