"Three axis test soil sample deformation digital image measurement and visualization system" is the "three axis test of soil sample deformation digital image measurement system" which is research and development by Dalian University of Technology engineering mechanics department. This system is mainly for visualization of digital image measurement data of three axis test soil sample deformation.With the continuous progress of the rapid development of society and information technology, and the development of soil mechanics in real life, it is necessary to apply the "computer digital image measurement and visualization system" to the three axis test soil. It has played a vital role in the development of soil mechanics. It has already become a new development trend by using the digital image visualization system to analysis and study on the tri-axial test deformation of soil sample digital image measurement.The main part of the tri-axial test digital image measurement of soil sample is to create the contour map of displacement and deformation in each direction. The object which needed to deal with is extract from thousands of groups in a certain time interval series of image acquisition. The use of the three axis test to the computer software development system can not only enhance the understanding degree of the user but also can facilitate the teachers and students in Colleges and universities for the soil engineering.This paper is divided into five parts. The first part is the introduction and mainly introduces the significance of the subject, the value of this system, the current status, the fundamental of the three axis test and the technology of the visualization application system. It mainly include the C++programming language, Windows application programming interface, STL building data structure, Open GL for3D graphics. The second part is the demand analysis, this part is mainly introduce and analysis the functional modules of the software. The third part is the system design and mainly introduces the overall framework of the business. The fourth part is the detailed design of the system and mainly introduces the function modules of the system. The fifth part is the implementation and testing of the system.
