Design And Implementation Of Fire Control Graphics System

Fire disaster is a common disaster in our daily life. Nowadays, with the continuous development of society and economy, tall buildings with complex structure and huge number of residents are coming out increasingly in our city. Once there is a fire disaster, it is hard to locate, which likely to cause personal injures and property damage due to the rescue is not timely. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a monitoring system for the management and control of fire-fighting equipment. A wide variety of fire-fighting monitoring systems have been developed under the continuous research and innovation in related fields. With the progress of fire protection engineering, the national standards of relevant industry are gradually reformed. As a result, the fire-fighting equipment armed with various kinds of sensors are gradually standardized and matured.According to the recent research of fire control systems, this paper proposes a fire monitoring system based on graphical display technology. Compared with the traditional fire monitoring methods, modular design method is applied. Meanwhile, it combines with the technology of DAO database development in VC++MFC, WMF metafile and serial communication. The system has a variety of functions, including information inquiry, system management, the layer configuration, unit test and so on. The whole software is composed of four main parts which coordinate with others very well instead of running independently.This paper describes in detail the hardware and software design procedure of the fire monitoring system. What’s more, it describes the technology that used in this paper to realize real-time graphical display, the network communication among the fire-fighting equipment and the management of database. Meanwhile, the article describes the main functions of the system and related operations.
