Along with the advance of science and technology, mechanical movement control is developing in the direction of the accurate and rapidness, and therefore good develop powerful, practical, high positioning accuracy and the use of low-cost motion positioning technology has wide application market.In this paper, a two axes coordinated motion control system based on programmable logic controller was studied. Using Siemens programmable logic controller as upper control unit, control servo drive, and then according to the set speed and acceleration drives the ball screw and complete orientation movement of the working parts. This system can be used in various aspects of industrial production, and can be extended to the multidimensional movement positioning system.Paper main work has the following several parts:1. According to the use of environmental conditions, mechanical strength and movement precision of the system requirements, as well as the basic form of movement to realize, by using perpendicular ball screw as main body, the requirement of plane positioning can reach.2. Using the Siemens T-CPU to coordinate the two axis movement, and combining IM174hardware features and electrical parameters, a two axes coordinated motion control system has been constructed.3. With the help of Siemens T-CPU hardware configuration and communication Settings, configuration of the virtual axis under S7-Technology software and motion control shaft and the corresponding virtual cam disk, two axes coordinated motion control was realized. And further analysis of movement error of the positioning system and influencing factors.The experimental results show that the movement control system stable performance, high degree of automation, velocity and position error to meet the design requirements and the needs of industrial production.
