The collection and statics of failures occurred during operation of a CNC machine play an important role for daily maintenance and optimization structure design. This paper introduces FMECA analysis method in a systematic way. Based on the research of FMECA analysis method and real condition of CNC VMC650including long time accumulated valuable failure modes data, a software system, CNC VMC650FMECA Database Analysis and Mmanagement system was built.Under researching of FMECA theory coupled with considering its compex structure and function of VMC650, the analysis methods FMEA analysis, Criticality Qualitative Analysis, Criticality Quantitative Analysis offered in software were determined. Also considering financial limitation of maintanence, priority cost FMECA analysis is proposed to give enter prises a new view to determine priority of maintanence group. Depending on these theories mentioned above, eight operation unit including user management unit, management of reliability diagram unit, FMECA Fault records management unit, Criticality Qualitative Analysis unit, Criticality Quantitative Analysis unit, PC-FMECA analysis unit, database operations unit and analysis result export unit were set. By C#database technology connecting Access database, all kinds of data occurred during operation of system are properly stored and ready to call for.By using designed software platform, this paper takes FMECA analysis to these subsystems, workbench system, ATC system, auxiliary system, the spindle box parts system, mechanical transmission system, tailstock system, electrical control system, hydraulic system, clamping system, CNC system for a specific FMEA analysis; Based on this, the further CA analysis is carried out. This paper obtains product CA, frequency of fault location. Increasing frequency of maintenance level is suggested to ensure normal operation of the system. In the product upgrading process, it is suggested to improve the rationality of its structure or a better process planning.
