The rapid development of computer communication technologies, including mobile Internet and Internet of things, provides the foundation for intelligent management of network interconnection in all trades and professions, and the development of network technology promotes the development of basic telecom industry including optical fiber network. With the large-scale deployment of optical fiber network, there is of a great significance to research the efficient management method for optical fiber network.Existing manual optical fiber network resource management method cannot guarantee the accuracy and real time of fiber resources data, and while centralized intelligent fiber resources management method stores all the fiber resources in resource management center, it cannot deal with the problems in diverse situations. To effectively solve the problems in centralized management approach, this thesis presents a semi-distributed intelligent optical network resource management method. Based on the local characteristics of the optical network management, this method divides all the resources data into data sub-blocks according to the management area, and stores the copy of sub-block in intelligent management terminal. Access of the fiber resources data in resource management center and its copy in terminal can overcome the management bottleneck problems caused by centralized storage of fiber resource data. Finally, an intelligent optical network resource management system based on the semi-distributed management method is developed, and some tests and analyses are given. The results indicate that this semi-distributed method can achieve the standard to manage optical fiber network in the aspect of performance, and solve the bottleneck problems effectively.
