The China Mobile Communications Corporation (CMCC) obtained the TD-LTE4G license andlaunched the4G business officially in December,2013. The arriving of4G era for CMCC is anunprecedented challenge as well as an opportunity. For the market competitive is intense, theemphasis of back-end operation and maintenance department should be placed on two points——how to improve network quality and user perception steadily, and how to build a competitiveTD-LTE network and establish the “And (A New Dream)” brand image. As a result, the optimizingof the TD-LTE network coverage within the residential area becomes a priority.This thesis focus on enhancing the coverage of TD-LTE networks in Lianyungang andconsiders improving customers’ perception. Based on the basic theory and analysis of TD-LTE andnetwork optimization technology an enormous amount of customer calling data is used to proposedifferent building programs for different cell types. The acquisition of key site, the construction ofmobile base stations, the optimization of RF and parameter, and the coverage of indoor frequency isincluded in these schemes to enhance the depth coverage of TD-LTE. Specially, we apply the microstation construction scheme with high-performance antenna (BBU/RRU) inside to improve the poorelectromagnetic environment, the weak coverage phenomenon and resolve the resistance for basestation constructing among residents. This method can also effectively improve the connection rate,reducing the rate of dropped calls and improve the user’s perception of the district.
