Recently, emerging technologies such as Cloud swept across the IT sector.Cloud technologyas a virtualization technology which put forward higher requirements for the Internet sitecross-regional sharing of resources of the different data centers, automatic migration of datacenters. Virtualization technology has been greatly developed at the same time, the size of thedata center is constantly increasing, the size of the existing Layer2networks also growing, due tochanges in the original topology of the network, for large Layer2network management presentsnew challenges. Therefore, propose a large Layer2networks to achieve interconnectionvirtualization technology is particularly important.Based on this, this paper propose a solution which is called EVI. This paper describes thecurrent development of Ethernet virtualization technology, then carried out a detailedintroduction about this solution..First, through the existing virtualization technology related research, the EVI, based on "MACin IP" in the "L2over L3" technology solutions. EVI network model for the network, the basiccomposition and operation mechanism for a simple introduction. In this paper, respectively, fromthe control plane and data plane principles elaborated the principle of two specific implementationdetails and principles EVI networks, introduced the concept of the hardware route. Analysis theproblems for which the introduction of large Layer2networks may introduce,such as theinter-regional broadcasts, ARP flow each proposed solution. Solve the problem of Layer2network into the core network may be caused by the increase of high availability and improverobustness of the overall solutionSecond, Author combined several practical problems which is discovered during internship.Layer2network broadcast domain will lead to the second floor of the expansion, the problemoccurs when the virus appears LAN Layer2network attacks. This paper analyzes the mainmethod of large Layer2network attack, harm, and why. Layer2network attacks by analyzingthe behavior of the design of a new Layer2network attack prevention solutions throughMAC-address Spoofing solve the problem at the source. Used to control aggressive behavior inthe large Layer2.
