With the maturity of multimedia technology and network communication technology, videosurveillance technology has been widely used in many fields of social security. Currently, theproducts of video surveillance mainly come from Dahua, Hikvision and other companies. Thesecompanies have the set of codecs norms and these norms are not compatible, also featurestraditional. So we need to design a streaming media data platform for compatible with multipleproducts.In this context, this article has studied media technology, video processing technology in depth.This paper has verified the feasibility of developing video processing algorithms in the server ofstreaming media directly. So the streaming data forwarding platform has been developed with aGraphics interface. The main work is as follows:(1) Streaming media server has been set up by Live555open source library. This serverincludes three modules: video analysis module、 algorithm interface、 coding transmissionmodule.(2) Using FFmpeg open source library implements the H.264codec module. A video bufferpool is increased to reduce the effects of network latency.(3) Standardized the streaming media server interface, loading different algorithm of dynamiclink library to implement the algorithm.Results of the tests show that three open source libraries merge smoothly. Streaming dataplatform can eventually build stable video processing algorithms require support for multipleterminal, also adapting to a variety of video source. In addition, independent of the hierarchicaldesign enhanced extensibility.
